I've raised £200 to Raise money for “The Kim Wright Association” - Supporting local young people in sport.

On the 23rd September I will be taking on my biggest challenge yet- Ironman Weymouth 70.3, this involes a 1.2mile swim, a 56mile bike ride with a half marathon to finish. Why you may ask.. to raise money for The Kim Wright Association.
I had the pleasure of meeting Kim and his family through Carmarthen Land Sailing Club a number of years ago. Landsailing is a sport that is adrenaline fueld and his family still come to Pembrey to enjoy the beaches and sport that Kim enjoyed taking part in. Kims death shook the club and as motivation to train hard and complete this challenge I have decided to support this well deserved charity created by his fantastic, funny and outgoing family who are celebrating Kims life.
- The Kim Wright Association was created followed his death in October 2016, at the age of 57, after being diagnosed with cancer in January of 2014. Kim loved all sports and was always eager to support at any time he could. The Kim Wright Association provides small grants to young sports teams or individuals with the aim to keep Kim‘s passion alive. The desired outcomes of the grants provided are to facilitate local young people in and around Mansfield, Nottingham in the participation of sporting activities.
