My Beautiful Sister has Multiple Myeloma - It will be three years since she was first diagnosed with the illness. As you are well aware, Multiple Myeloma occurs when abnormal plasma cells produce abnormal antibodies which cause kidney problems and overly thick blood.
With current treatment, survival is 4-5 years. As she enters her third year of the illness, she's in remission, long may it continue, I hear you chant. Unable to work, not for lack of trying, she relies heavily on family. Family and friends have been nothing short of wonderful as far as donations go. Huge kudos and massive thanks to all concerned. It must be said; friends, school friends, classmates, childhood neighbours of yesteryear have stepped-up to the plate in a huge way - whether it be financial/emotional/prayer.
Dear friends; new found/yet to be found/longstanding, in no particular order - I humbly stand before you, begging bowl to hand, once again, asking for financial support. As am sure you appreciate, Medical bills, Doctors appointments and continued treatment comes with a hefty price tag. To date, there is no cure for Multiple Myeloma and so we 'forward on' with treatment. Help us help our beloved Daughter and Sister.
