I've raised £1500 to support a former colleague now living with ALS

Our colleague, Andrew Knowlman, is a fifty-year-old father of two children, aged 11 and 15 and married to Jane, a native of Australia. Andrew has suffered from Motor Neurone Disease for the past three years and is wheelchair-bound, immobile and fed through a peg into his stomach. Andrew is in fully time residential care but is mentally alert as anyone could hope to be. He writes a blog, stopforamomentpeople.com, and books for children.
A specially adapted minivan enables Andrew to maintain active parenting by visiting his kids' school and take trips to local places where he can feel the wind in his face, see the sun in the trees and smell the blossom in the air. In the final stage of his life, for Andrew this is the best it gets to feeling alive!
Andrew and his family need funds to maintain the minivan and cover for the costs involved with him seeing his family.
As his colleagues we will run the Brooklyn Half Marathon on May 19th in honor of Andrew with the objective to raise money for him & his family.
A huge thanks in advance for your donation on behalf of the Vodafone runners: Darren, Ludovico, Swatiey, Mike, Racheal, Scott, Linda, Gabor & Susanne
