Story
A dedicated Ukraine supporter and UAID trustee Andrew Macmillen has embarked on a Herculean Canal Race Challenge to raise £10,000 for an evacuation vehicle for Witches of Bucha in Ukraine:
To celebrate my 60th birthday last November I wanted to do something special to mark this milestone as well as raise money for a cause close to my heart.
That something special is going to be the Kennet & Avon Canal Race, an ultra-marathon of 145 miles (233 kilometres) taking place at the end of July:

The race begins at Little Venice in Paddington,West London, ends in Bristol and is run mainly along canals, an important part of British infrastructure for over 200 years.
I will be running to raise money for UAID International, a non-profit organisation of which I am a trustee. UAID is dedicated to providing life-saving aid to those who are physically, psychologically or socially affected by war, with an emphasis on supporting Ukraine. The main objective will be to raise funds to purchase a pick-up truck for the Witches of Bucha, to help them defend their town, where hundreds of civilians were killed by Russian forces in 2022, from nightly drone attacks.

It will be hard, the longest run I have ever attempted, but nothing compared to what the citizens of Ukraine have been going through for over three years.
Please give generously to support me and this important cause.
