Supporting St Michael & All Angels Church, Pirbright

On my 46th birthday, I'm taking on a challenge that means a great deal to me: Rucking 46 miles while carrying a 46lb pack in under 11.5 hrs to raise funds for St Michael & All Angels Church, Pirbright.

Having served in the British Army, challenge and perseverance were part of everyday life. Since leaving the Army in 2022, I've missed the sense of purpose that comes from setting a demanding goal and pushing myself beyond my comfort zone. This challenge is my way of rediscovering that spirit whilst also supporting a place that sits at the heart of our community.

St Michael & All Angels is much more than a church building. It is a place of worship, fellowship, remembrance, celebration, and support for people of all ages. It has served generations of the Pirbright community and continues to provide a welcoming space where people can come together in times of joy, reflection, and need.

As I take each step of this 46-mile journey, I'll be reminded of the importance of community, faith, resilience, and service; values that the church represents so well.

Why I'm Raising Money

The funds raised will help support the ongoing work and ministry of St Michael & All Angels, helping to ensure that it remains a vibrant part of village life for future generations.

A Personal Challenge for a Community Cause

This challenge marks a significant milestone; my 46th birthday, but it's about much more than that.

It's about embracing a challenge I've missed since leaving the Army, giving something back to a community that means a lot to me, and helping ensure that St Michael & All Angels continues to thrive.
