Story
Dear All,
I am raising funds this year for two different charity's this year
I am Mountain Biking across country from White-haven, Cumbria to Tto the North East in support of these two fantastic charities/funds.
There are 18 of us friends from our local public house completing a cross country bike ride from Whitehaven Cumbria to Hartlepool Durham.
for charity.
1: Kay Smith Breast Cancer Fund
Brave Kay died in January 2006 after a year-long battle against breast cancer, despite having a lump removed from her breast the cancer spread through her body.
But instead of feeling sympathy for her own situation, inspirational Kay set about supporting others who would go through the ordeal she was facing after she passed away.
Before her death, she set up the Kay Smith Fund and made it her dying wish for her family and friends to raise as much money as possible in her memory.

2: JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
In early 2008 our 3yr old son Thomas was diagnosed with Class 1 Diabetes, insulin dependent, then again it struck in 2011 our daughter Daisy who was also 3 at the time was diagnosed with Class 1 diabetes. Thomas is now on the insulin pump therapy and our Daisy has 3 insulin injections a day. Thomas is now 11yrs old and Daisy is now 8yrs old. Neither myself or my wife currently have Diabetes
Although both of our kids live a perfectly healthy life I have decided to give something back and raise funds for 2 different charitys this year.
I appreciate any donations to help us fund these 2 great charities. I am now in MTB (Mountain Bike) training for the event on the 3rd weekend in September.
Once again, thank you all so much.
Best Regards
Andy
