Story

On Friday 3rd may at 8pm 12 of us will be settling in for 24hrs of non stop pool in aid of Dani and Dan Elm, a popular local family who have been hit by the worst tragedy and need help to move on with thier lives

Please read a statement from Dani to understand more

On the 27th October our life’s changed forever, we were involved in a car accident which resulted in us losing our beautiful daughter Darcy-May at the age of just 4. She was such a happy and loving child, any one who knew her was touch by her.
Daniel my husband broke his pelvis and has only recently returned to work and driving.
My injuries were a little more complex. I had broken Ribs that pierced my lung and a brain injury that has caused a right sided weakness and also stopped my vocal cords working so I have ended up with a tracheotomy, I went into cardiac arrest for 3 minutes which my family were there for and I spent time in Cardiff intensive care for a few weeks then flown to Poole ICU I then once I woke spent
December - end of feb In Portland Nero ward as they were concentrating on my brain.
In December Poole found that i had broke my spine and severed my spinal cord leaving me paralysis from high waist down and unable to walk again and they got me a bed in Salisbury, I am currently in Salisbury spinal specialist unit where although won’t fix it they will teach me how to cope with my disability.

We are raising money for the specialist equipment I will need when I’m finally allowed home. As it will be very expressive and more that we could ever afford x thank you in advance x
