Story

Those of you who know me will be aware that I'm not a natural athlete, I enjoy riding my bike but up until a couple of years ago I had never ridden more than 50 miles at a time. In June I will be taking part in The Ride to Arran, it is over 500 miles (800km) and is not going to be an easy challenge, it's going to be really rather tough actually but we're all prepared to do it for our friend Jan and to support the charity To Walk Again.
To Walk Again help rehabilitate people after serious injuries and enable them to acheive incredible things. Whatever pain and difficulty we will put ourselves through during this challenge it will pale into insignificance when compared to what people endure every day when recovering from major traumas. On the evening of the 12th of December 2012, Jan was involved in a serious road accident which nearly ended in the loss of his left leg. Despite the severity of his injuries, which still trouble him today, Jan is able to ride his bike once more and will be completing the full distance with us. Jan and all the other riders want to support To Walk Again and allow other people to achieve their potential and enjoy sports once more after enduring their own traumas. Please donate what you can afford to support this excellent cause and motivate us over the miles and the hills from Belgium to Arran. Thank you.
