I've raised £300 to support the Beresford Centre! I am running the Newport Half Marathon on 3rd March 2019 in recognition of this amazing place!

The Beresford Centre is fantastic. It supports individuals and families who have suffered (or are suffering) miscarriage and baby loss, in addition to aiding those experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.
These are topics that although surprisingly common are not spoken about in the media, amongst friends/family, or even in Primary Care. This subject appears to be taboo.
My wife and I had our own journey with baby loss while on holiday not too long ago and it was one of the most lonely, emotional, confusing and stressful times. Several years on and the echoes of the trauma of losing an unborn child continue.
Without the support of the Beresford Centre my wife and I would be stuck in a dark place.
Since my wife received the support, counselling and treatment through this amazing charity we as a family have been able to process what happened, what we do with the memories, and how we use our experiences. This centre was a lifeline and our story is not unusual. Hundreds of couples have benefited from the care and attention this place brings and many I am sure have gone on to produce healthy happy families.
I am running the Newport Half Marathon in memory and honour of the support that my wife and I have received from the Beresford Centre. I am eternally thankful for the help and diligence the was provided us and so many others, at a time when no-one else would ask, listen or help.
The Beresford Centre is an independent registered charity (charity number 1068164) funded by grants and also by donations from individuals. They are non– profit making and our service is free of charge.
