I recently became involved in an International charity project in Nepal next October. This involves working with communities in the rural areas of Nepal for a 7 week period. To this end I am fundraising for my share of the money required to complete the aid work (£2500). To help meet the goal i will also be doing a sponsored ~250 Km hike from Edinburgh to Newcastle as well as other sponsor opportunities. The community work involves the reconstruction and rebuilding of the 800,000 damaged and destroyed homes, buildings and infrastructure affected in the 2015 earthquake. The community work also involves working to implement better female equality and promoting youth entrepreneurship. Note that 100% of the £2500 fundraising target goes to the charity and does not cover in any way my person costs for the trip.
