Story

I never thought I’d be in this position… asking strangers for help to care for my mum. But life can change in an instant.

My name is Andrew, and for 22 years, I worked hard to provide for my family. Last August, I was made redundant from a job I had dedicated over two decades to. Suddenly, the security we had vanished.

Caring for my mum, Margaret who is a Pneumonia and Cervical Cancer survivor, has always been my priority. At 70, she can no longer manage on her own. Every day, I help her around the house, push her in her wheelchair, manage her anxiety medication, and make sure she feels loved and safe. These are not just tasks they are acts of love that I give from my heart, but they come without income.

Now, with bills piling up and redundancy money gone, we’re facing a very real struggle. Essential needs food, heating, medication are becoming impossible to cover. February is here, and without support, we could lose the stability my mum depends on.

I’m reaching out to compassionate people who can help us through this difficult time. Even a small donation can make a huge difference ensuring my mum continues to receive care and giving us hope for the future.

Your support isn’t just a donation it’s a lifeline. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story. With your help, we can get through this together.
