Story

Hello and thank you for visiting my Just Giving page.

I will be attempting to run this years London Marathon.

I am aiming to raise funds to help my severely disabled nephew Lewis.

Lewis has been diagnosed with a condition called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome (LGS). LGS is a rare and extremely severe form of epilepsy with multiple seizure types.

Lewis is unable to talk or walk or feed himself and requires 24hr round the clock care. My sister and brother in-law (Lewis' mum & dad) had to sacrifice their careers in order to be full time carers for Lewis.

Since Lewis turned 18 and deemed an adult he does not receive the same amount of support as when he was pre 18 and seen as a child. His condition is still the same and did not go away when he became an adult, in fact, now he is an adult, he is bigger, heavier and it is a greater challenge to carry out everyday activities.

Any money raised will be going towards the endless need for special needs equipment and towards a deposit for a wheelchair accessible vehicle.

I feel really helpless and wish I could wave a magic wand and make everything alright! Unfortunately, I can't do that.... What I can do, is attempt to run this marathon and hopefully raise enough money to help Lewis, my sister and the whole family out and get the things they desperately need.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to read this story. Any donations/sponsorship would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you, much love
