Story

The Proclaimers once sung " I would walk 500 miles". How hard can that be???

Well as a complete idiot I am about to find out. From Saturday 18th May to Saturday 1st June I will run, jog, walk and crawl my way from Balmoral Castle in Aberdeen to Buckingham Palace in London. I will cover 505 miles in just 15 days. I will be doing this alone with no support team.

Why? Apart from being clearly insane, I am looking to raise money for 3 charities close to me.

The first being a football charity - Rangers Charity Foundation. A football charity who supports many great causes and charities such as UNICEF, local children's charities and the Armed Forces.

The second being a baby charity called 4 Louis - ""4Louis is a charity that works across the country to support anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and the death of a baby or child. They also work to improve the care bereaved families receive from health care and other professionals." Unfortunately we lost my nephew Sonny a couple of years ago and 4 Louis were there to support my sister and brother in law.

The third charity is the Alzheimers Society - "Dementia and Alzheimer's disease was the leading cause of death in Britain for the last 10 years". Id like to support this in memory of my Grand Father, Bampa John, who passed away through this.

Thank you to Everyone who will support me on this mad challenge. Your donations will make a big difference. Right, all that's left to do is get a million injuries and start Training!!!!

Thanks

Andrew
