Story

On 27th October, Mayor Andy Burnham and I will be running the Oldham Half Marathon in support of Real Change Oldham.

Homelessness is a huge issue across Greater Manchester. Lots of organisations are working hard to tackle it including through the Mayor's A Bed Every Night scheme to end the need for rough sleeping. Other support is also needed to make the transition into a secure and stable life and that’s where Real Change Oldham can help.

Real Change Oldham is a campaign that makes supporting homeless people easy and effective. 100% of the funds donated to Real Change Oldham go to local Oldham charities working to support individuals, providing everything from a rental deposit, to essential household items, to clothes for a job interview.

Real Change Oldham launches on 10th October. We're running the Oldham Half Marathon to give it the best start possible. It's a hilly half - one of the toughest in the UK - so please give whatever you can to help Real Change Oldham end homelessness in the borough.
