Weʼre raising £2,000 to provide a fitting funeral and final goodbye to Andy Chatfield, who passed away 17th July.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Andy Chatfield was involved in so many people's lives, with his time in the Police Force in Kent, to living in Swansea, to anyone who read the books he wrote and a great many other people. Everyone who knew him said how generous he was, how he put everyone before himself and how much he loved his family and friends.
Sadly, after a short battle with cancer, he has been taken from us too early, just 62 years young. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on the 17th July, a day that those close to him will remember as an anniversary, to remember a great man and a wonderful dad, brother, grandad, uncle and friend.
Any and all donations given to this fund will go towards saying goodbye to Andy, to giving him the funeral that he deserves. It will also give everyone who meant something to him the chance to pay their last respects.

For everyone who has already donated, either named or anonymous, I want to say on behalf of Andy's whole family that we are incredibly thankful for all of the donations and advice we have received. We are really touched to see that so many people thought enough of him to help us with this fund. Please pass this on to anyone you know who has donated but may not see this. Your money will make a real difference to the final goodbye to our Father, Brother, Uncle and friend.

Worked with Andy on Traffic for several years, always cheerful and a pleasure to work with. A great driver who could do amazing things with a car. Condolences to his family, RIP Andy.

I worked with Andy at Chatham and, though not on the same section. He was always cheerful, helpful and straighforward. Avery easy man to like. My condolences to family and friends.
