Story
Lea Cork and I with 11 colleagues and friends are taking part in the 3 peaks challenge over the weekend of 21st September 2017.
We will be conquering Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowden in 36 hours.
Lea and I are very passionate about Entertainment workshops, a family run charity based in East Sussex, a provider of education for vulnerable young people struggling in mainstream education, often with unstable home-lives or other social difficulties.
the workshop offers both full and part time education within a safe, understanding environment providing quality tutoring to GCSE level in English and Maths as well as BTECs in Science and PE. What makes Entertainment Workshops unique is their ability to provide the above as well as qualifications in more practical subjects such as production arts, photography and creative media, giving the young people the opportunity to work within the entertainment production industry.
Like most smaller less known charities Entertainment Workshops is run on a "shoestring" raising money wherever it can and relying on volunteers and patrons wherever possible.
The point of my story and the reason for the challenge is to raise enough to keep this fantastic establishment open for all the young people wishing to attend, after all they are the future.
Lea and I are not known for our athletic prowess but with a lot of training and everybody's support know we can complete the challenge and help keep Entertainment Workshops open for years to come.
Please give what you can to help give these often forgotten young people the future they deserve.
The climb will be a little easier knowing we have your support.
Thank you
Lea & Andy
