Story
Earlier this year Terry moved uninvited into David's head.
Terry is a Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain tumour.
Whilst a surgeon was able to evict Terry, like many squatters, he left a lot of rubbish behind. Any of these pieces of rubbish can regrow into a new tumour which will be fatal. Even though David is undergoing intensive radiotherapy, the average prognosis for a patient like him is 15 months.
The only hope for David and others like him is an experimental immunotherapy treatment. However unlike other cancers, Glioblastoma research is poorly funded. In order to fund this vital trial, David and his family need to raise £250,000.
David is my best friend's father. I believe that this treatment will help not only him, but the thousands of other people who die needlessly - and often young - from this cruel disease.
So I'd like you to help me beat Glioblastoma.
In return for your donation I will give you blood, sweat, and tears. On September, with my friend Paul, I'll be cycling from London to Brighton: 54 miles including the fearsome climb up Ditchling Beacon.
So please, give whatever you can - I promise that Paul and I will work for every penny you donate!
