In the summer of 2017, I have been chosen by SLV to spend five weeks in Sri Lanka. I will be volunteering with a range of people, providing support and assistance to those who seek it. During my time there, I will be working with young children, helping teach them English, and will be dedicating one day a week to working with individuals with mental health issues. Alongside this, i will be engaging with people who have special needs from various age groups.

I have always been passionate about helping people, whether it be helping them in day to day tasks or going a step further. Volunteering in Sri Lanka will allow me to enrich the lives of the people i work with, alongside helping me gain new skills and experiences. A little help can go a long way and I hope during my time i spend volunteering, I am able to improve the lives of the people i work with for the better!

All funds raised will go towards helping SLV send me to Sri Lanka and support me whilst I volunteer there for five weeks. I plan to take on a number of challenges that will help me fundraise for this worthwhile cause, the first being the Live Below The Line Challenge and the second being a Colour Run.
