Story
Aneurin, a Year 2 pupil from Westbourne School has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. Unfortunately, the chemotherapy treatment so far has not worked as well as they hoped. Aneurin has now been referred to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London so that he can take part in a trial of a new treatment called CAR-T where they will try to engineer his own cells to hopefully kill all the cancer cells in his blood. He will spend much of the next few months in London for treatment. Aneurin is being incredibly brave and positive about the situation. We are raising as much money as we can to help the family at this difficult time and hopefully raise enough to help with travelling costs, other expenses and maybe some fun outings for Nye while he is having his treatment in London.
Westbourne Prep School are doing some litter picking around the local area next week to try and help raise some money.
