I've raised £1000 to fill the deficit in funds to take Twin Peaks to Edinburgh. Help us to continue to raise awareness on a larger scale

Twin Peaks is an honest, uplifiting story about an idiots journey through Breast Cancer. That idiot is my partner, Mandy. She wrote the show to raise awareness of Breast Cancer and the importance of talking about Cancer using comedy. As a Nursing Sister I am only too aware of the importance of this. How many of us will admit that we turn the television over everytime the subject matter involves Cancer. Cancer is a bit like Voldermort we dare not mention the name .The thought of it makes us uncomfortable and creates a sense of fear. In Twin Peaks Mandy demonstrates that you can relieve some of the fears and attitudes by using a unique approach. She demonstrates throughout her Cancer journey she was always the fun loving , life and soul of the party despite the illness .Twin Peaks is as educational as it is funny. The show invites you to look at Mandys Breast Cancer journey. You will laugh till your stomach aches as she talks about sexuality, me and her first time out after treatment. You will experience the emotion that comes with some of the difficult times but you will leave on a high with a thankfulness that you ignored the stigma and watched the show. Twin Peaks has raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and other local cancer charites through ticket sales. Mandy has been encouraged by Professionals and members of the general public to take the show this year to the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Unfortunately, to do this would cost approx £1650 for the venue alone for 11 days. By taking Twin Peaks to the Festival it would give the show the exposure it truely deserves. More exposure would mean the show would be able to reach out to a wider audience in the future. As you can imagine the word Breast Cancer and Comedy Show often faces its own barriers when it comes to promotion. Please show your support to my truly fierce , funny and inspiring Partner. She has continually demonstrated selflessly the determination to raise awareness of such a taboo subject.
