Story

We are a mum and daughter who moved to this small, rural community in East Lothian after losing our husband/father to a heart attack late 2016.When we discovered the villagers were trying to raise money to have a defibrillator installed at the village hall, we wanted to help. I had used cpr to keep my husband alive and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to bring a defibrillator in the rural hamlet where we lived, so we understand the importance of having one close to hand. We believe if one had been closer to hand, we would not now be without Chris, who was 51.If we can help towards the cost of having this vital piece of equipment installed, it would be good to know we may help someone else in the future.
