Story

We visited in The Gambia a small Village named Touba. The village is 10 km from the main road. There is no electricity, not a good communication network, no Hospital nearby. The families work hard to be able to feed themselves.
Already over 1 year ago the well in the middle of the village provides no water with drinking quality. The people have to work 1 km to find drinking water and carry it in containers to their house.
One of the eldest spoke to us and explained the reason, why the well, they already have can't give the water they need for drinking. The well was built by the villagers, but reaches not deep enough. To have the drinking water they have to drill there 60 m deep. Now the well reaches down to 14 m.
We are looking for donations to drill a fresh drinking water borehole for the village. This would be a big help in the daily needs of the people.
