Animal Antiks is a self-funded, non-profit facility seeking charitable status in its third year, we support young people and adults with emotional, behavioural and special needs. We provide a safe and secure facility where vulnerable adults can achieve - with continued encouragement go on to paid employment or volunteer - currently we provide for 40+ children and young adults a week, with an expanding waiting list and an average of 3 enquiries a day.

In September, 2015 we were made aware that our current site was going to be developed due to the blight caused by HS2. Since then we have struggled to find a new home - HS2 stepped in, knowing our situation, showed us possible sites, compulsory purchased by themselves, one of which we pursued, after investing over £1000 in fees, and 4 months of our time, we were turned down for not meeting their criteria - a site costing less than our current facility - provided with excellent landlord references, proof of payments and assurance from our accountant we could afford, they still required a hefty net profit or a years up-front rent.

Our battle continued, another possible site has appeared on the horizon, a place which has endless opportunities and possibilities which will enable us to expand and offer more placements and variety of activities and enterprises for our young people to run. To help us continue to provide a future for the vulnerable young people we support, we are appealing for funds to help secure and make this happen.
