Story

We have set up this page to tell you about some amazing shelters and animal welfare charities in South East Asia. The conditions some of the animals have to live in can be terrible and the charities aim to both provide care and shelter, but also to promote sustainable animal welfare by running projects such as TNR and education programmes.

"Animals in Asia are among the most abused in the world. From bears captured and caged for their 'bile', to dogs and cats slaughtered in horrific ways for their meat, exploitation of animals in Asia is common and widespread. This makes the work of dedicated animal welfare charities even harder, as the law is often on the side of animal abuser." Animal Asia

Helen and I are currently working with a charity in Thailand, but will be moving on to assist in Vietnam and Cambodia over the coming months. We are assisting with caring for the animals, cleaning up poo (alot of it!) in 40 degree heat, outreach work and rescue operations.

Please understand, the sanctuaries we are going to are grass roots organisations who are desperate for any help they can get. They exist out of a love and desperation to provide comfort and help to animals in the most dire conditions.

You can find more information about them here:

Having seen the struggle to keep afloat and continue doing the vital work they do, we are hoping to raise some money for these shelters. If you can donate then I can assure you this will go a long way to help the charities buy essential equiptment, food, toys, medical kit, fund rescue operations and any other necessary items the animals need. You can do it via this page, or directly to the shelters. Will also be holding a raffle so any product donation at all would go a long way to help raise money, no matter how small!

Thanks for caring. The animals will thank you! Xxx
