Story
Hello everyone, as most of you know I am currently a volunteer working in Malawi for the year. Over the last two weeks we have experienced torrential rain which has resulted in over 110,000 families in Malawi being left homeless. This has also resulted in over 200 people losing their lives and even more being seriously injured due to the floods. This includes a lot of our nursery children who’s houses have been washed away or their roofs collapsed.
Malawi has declared a state of emergency.
As the rain continues most water supplies have been contaminated and thousands of people are in desperate need of clean water.
I would like to ask that if anyone can donate any money to help the families of Malawi. Literally an extra £1 makes a difference in this country.

5 years agoHello, I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who donated. We used this money to set up a medical programme that ensured people who were effected by the floods got the treatment they needed. The money was also put towards 2,000 life packs for 2,000 families which included food and cooking utensils. Thank you again to anyone who donated
