Snowdonia Summit Challenge for Essex Indians Charity ( 1186579) 19th September 2024
Any solo adventure challenge emerges as a bigger challenge- I am feeling fulfilled and immensely satisfied with my round trip completion of Snowdon Summit.
As it was a solo trek, I was responsible solely for my health, safety, food, drinks, rucksack, antishock walking sticks.
Although today was bright and sunny, it was extremely windy especially in last 3 km of the trek. Watkins’path was not deemed to be safe and therefore I went for Llanberis path - the last 2 steep areas were extensively windy and challenging.
Total trek was 14.5 km plus journey to and from car park ( total 18 km) - took 4.30 hours ascent ( mainly slow during high winds) and 3.30 hours descent- total 8 hours trek and 1 hour break at halfway and summit - 1130 am to 830 pm ( total 9 hours - last 1 hour on darkness).
I feel happy to complete this challenge with best wishes of my and Essex Indians well wishers without any trips or muscle cramps ensuring my heart, lungs, quads, hamstrings, calf muscles are functioning well.
I will be immensely grateful if you can kindly support my fundraising for Essex Indians Registered Charity 1186579 with a small contribution. I am attaching my just giving charity page and www.essex-indians.com website for Essex Indians (EI) charity for all global and local contributions of EI
