Story

Salam everyone,

Thank you for taking the time out to visit my page!

The term Water is mentioned 63 times in the holy Quran, and every prophet has a story that relates closely to water. It is no surprise that then providing water is considered one of the greatest charities in Islam.

Living in the UK we have always been blessed with fresh running tap water at our convenience, which is a stark contrast to the situation of many in Pakistan and all over the world.

Pakistan is the seventh most populated country in the world. The need for water, sanitation, and hygiene programs is greater than ever. Drinking dirty water can cause diseases such as cholera, typhoid and diarrhoea kills millions of people every year. In many parts of the world, people, especially women and children, spend hours each day trekking on dangerous terrain in search of water. If they are lucky enough to stumble upon water It is often dirty and carrying disease. Given the recent situation with covid-19 and hand washing regulations, you can imagine the filth that may be carried in this water. People washing and drinking from the same water poses a huge risk.

The pumps will be build in the loving name of my late uncle Mohammed Rafiq, Khala Abida & cousin sister Shabnam Sadiq.

Costings:

£250 approx for 1 water pump

Locations:

I have worked with various charities and have been given a list of remote places in Pakistan without any water supply whatsoever. So your donations will help me supply water to those most needy. We will be focusing on rural areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Bolochistan.

Please, this Ramadan help me, help them.
