    Story

In 2014, I embarked on a huge fundraising campaign for a little girl called Ruby, with stage 4 rare cancer. In ten months, with your help, £600,000 was raised for her treatment and I met some fantastic friends along the way. This campaign helped me cope with the sudden loss of my dad that year and my own daughter had a stretch in hospital, which was very very difficult. Without realising, you helped me give children with neuroblastoma cancer a voice, but you were all helping me cope. I am very thankful and with some amazing strangers, that I now call friends- we share a vision to help other families!! The financial burden that families face whilst waiting for a diagnosis is heartbreaking and without support, these families can get into massive debt, unable to work to pay their bills. My friends daughter was in hospital for months and without the tremendous support and love shown from a massive community, the stress and worry, along with a child with cancer would have been too great. Imagine a child you love being diagnosed with cancer, it does not bear thinking about. This cause is engrained in our hearts.

We have seen first hand how siblings struggle whilst their parents are in hospital for months on end, we would love to support them by offering treats and days out.
We want to be able to help with practical things like bills and just making sure that parents don't have to worry about keeping a roof over their heads while their child is ill. How lovely would it be for them to not have to think about paying their mortgage while they are out of work?
Last but not least, our vision is to try and help families that cannot afford treatment not available in this country, for clinical cancer trials not available on the NHS. This is usually hundreds of thousands of pounds. If we can believe it, WE CAN DO IT. But not without your help. Please please support us and give children with cancer a voice.
My Shining Star, how every parent feels about their child. X
