Story

Anita Martinez attends and volunteer on a regular basis to help run Urbond activities.Anita has been very impressed with the way everyone regardless of their backgrounds are made to feel welcome in an open and relaxed environment. Anita has decided to run the Great South Run on the 20th of October to help raise money for the Naomi House and Jacksplace Hospice in Portsmouth.

URBOND C.I.C is a registered community interest company (not-for-profit organisation) based in Portsmouth with a mission to build a bigger and stronger community. In achieving this, they fundraise every year to support a local charity whom they believe needs a helping hand to continue to provide their services to our community. Read more about URBOND HERE

Since registration in March 2013, URBOND has fund raised and supported, The Food bank Portsmouth, CFK, the Homeless in Southsea, Raymond Grant and The Roberts Centre. This year, URBOND will fundraise for Naomi House and Jacksplace Hospices.

Naomi House & Jacks place hospices provide expert hospice care to more than 325 life-limited and life-threatened children and their extended families from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire, West Sussex, Surrey and the Isle of Wight. Their nursing, care, play and family support teams are experts in delivering the crucial emotional, spiritual and developmental aspects of care that families need.
