This is to raise funds for Anita Vidal and Sandra Watkin and families, both are known for their connection and work with Help for Dominica and other local community issues.The situation in Dominica after #HurricaneMaria is more awful than can be conveyed in words or pictures. Both are in urgent need of assistance. Sandra is responsible for distributing the Aid we send, and a look at our FB page photos will show her tenacity after TSErica in trekking to remote areas which were not always reached by Govt Aid. Since then she has worked with schools, special needs school, projects for victims of abuse, & other community groups & individuals to distribute the art & craft plus other supplies we have sent to assist them. Anita is a great ambassador, and promoter of the project, as well as being involved in other rebuilding projects within the community. Both have suffered great loss, Sandra is still unable to communicate directly although we know she is "safe". We need to assist her now, as she has assisted us, and hope she will be able to resume her role in this project soon. Anita lost virtually everything including home, her husband's farmland, also her graphic design business. She has been forced to evacuate with her children leaving husband, friends & family behind but is resolute in her efforts to make sure Aid reaches those who need it. They have suffered, emotionally & financially, Anita's children miss their Papa terribly. This fund will be used initially to repay Anita's flights the remainder shared between Sandra & Anita to use in whatever way they need to assist them the best, and we know that they will both continue their efforts to make sure those in most need in #Dominica will get the aid they need so badly..
