Story

Cape Town is rapidly moving toward Day Zero, the day they run out of water. I spent several months in Cape Town last year and remember the day we were told the water levels were so low (16% at the time) that it was unsafe for drinking and we were only allowed to use 100L per person per day. The water coming out of the taps had such a toxic smell, it was shocking.

Not only humans have had to endure strict water restrictions since then (well, even longer) but all the animals in rescues, sanctuaries, shelters. etc. I came across Water for Paws , just one of the many great attempts to get ready for a disaster that has been in the making for a while. There has been fantastic response to water donations but they also need water tanks, that can be rather pricey. So, I decided to get my friends to chip in and buy at least one tank between us. Please consider a small donation.
