    Story

aged 64yrs of age we are twins who will be getting larger newer, more comfortable wheelchairs from our healthcare providers.
we have an old simple van which will not allow these to fit!
we love to be out and about with our three dogs, camera and sambos. we go to nature and talk and chat to all we meet.
simple pleasures but its what we enjoy most. we need to get there first though, before we take out our 'wheels.'
we have a complex disease of muscle wasting dystonia & parkinonism, severe deafness and autoimmue diseases amd mitochondrial dysfunction.
we hope you will help us achieve our goals, to use the time left to us as we love to most, just being out in god given nature and beauty.
our new van will help us help others as we continue our own disability campaigning for better services for all disabled in ireland. we are known by our pink bowler hats and sitting outside the Dail. the lives of the sick and vulnerable is becoming increasingly harsh.
we hope you feel stirred to give us a hand, knowing always we will do our best to advocate for better services for others too.
it would mean so much to us.
we face great uncertainty in medical and life span terms, every day is a gifted bonus, we wish to use it wisely and well. for us and for others. Please support us in getting a van that will help us move from our village to meet the world.
the van will get us out to cry the rallying cry for those oppressed in healthcare, we want and need to do this too.
living is for all, we recognise this and strive to make it better too for others.
i hope you feel move to help a little "Every drop counts said the wren when he peed in the sea!"
