Story

Ann had a stroke at work, working with the homeless at Amicus Trust. Previous to that Ann worked for a mother and baby unit in Bedford.

In Ann's life her work has always been caring for for others, for example setting up youth clubs, stalls for fetes for young people, if ever there was an opportunity to help the community Ann was involved.
Ann is a mother of three and a grandmother of two beautiful little girls aged 5 and 1.

The stroke happened in 2016, Lister Hospital in Stevenage told her family she would not survive, after deliberation with doctors at Lister, Ann was rushed from resus to Addenbrooke's where she spent the next 6 months, after 3 months she came out of a coma.

After she left Addenbrooke's she spent the next year in Bedford Hospital as it was her local hospital and she needed the care for the next year and 6 months, Ann now spends her life with a traciostamy and is peg fed. This means she hasn't eaten or tasted anything in three years not only that but her mobility is severely affected. Luckily she still has her memory and sense of humour.

Stem Cell Treatment is the only thing that will help Ann to get back to how she was before the stroke.

We really appreciate any help we can get.

Thank you😊
