Story
Unfortnately on 31st August, 2018 the much loved Merry-go-round on Lemon Quay Truro was shockingly burnt to the ground. The Merry-go-round has been giving pleasure to children from all over Cornwall and holidaymakers for over 14 years. Built in the 1940's it was a very traditional ride with colourful horses, cars, bikes and the favourite of all 'the bus' The ride was also loved by the older generation who would stand and watch the children go round all smiling and laughing even if they didn't have their own child or grandchild just simply enjoying the children having their fun. The West Briton Newspaper ran a campaign to save the ride many years ago and this is what this is. We are going to rebuild the ride and the children will 'ride again' but we need help. Sponsors are being sought the materials are on order and regular updates will be published on Social Media and through local newspapers. We would appreciate your help and have received such kind wishes and love from the community that this rebuild has to go ahead. This time we will call the rebuild 'Let Them Ride - Again'
