Story

Kalanzi Vicent lives in a small village in Mityana in Uganda. He is one of the few who are passionate and committed to the rescue of these poor, traumatised creatures who are often in need of immediate life-saving treatment for their terrible suffering, injuries or illnesses. He has set up his own little charity called ‘Simba_Favour Animal Welfare Uganda’.

The over-riding need at the moment is is for food and veterinary treatment. (The building of the shelter is coming along well). Yesterday 10 puppies needed emergency treatment from the vet as they were vomiting and had fever, due to worms. Obviously all the other 11 pups needed to be wormed, plus all the other animals.

The vet advised that all the animals need to be protected from rabies. This is also important to carry out this instruction, as if a rabid dog were to bite someone, Kalanzi (the Beneficiary), could be arrested and in such an event, the animals would not have anyone to care for them. £5 will pay for one shot of the vaccine, each dog needs two doses.

Due to extreme poverty and/or ignorance of their owners, these animals are mal-nourished, often found abandoned and illnesses are left untreated. He has homed dogs, cats and rabbits, and has very recently had two dogs give birth to large litters of puppies.

He has constant expense and worry to provide food, clean water and medications for both acute life-saving treatment and on-going medical conditions due to the horrific state the poor animals have been allowed to get into.

He has also taken it upon himself to educate the village children in animal welfare to change the behaviour and enhance the knowledge of future generations.

Any help for this struggling charity, would be so much appreciated and even the smallest donation would go a long way to the provision of food and vet treatment on a daily basis to ever increasing numbers of sick creatures.

Thank you very much on behalf of the animals, for reading and any help you can provide. If you can share, this will also be appreciated.
