Story

In 2020 i am intending to travel to cambodia to work in the poor communities on a trip/project with camps internationals. This involves installing, reinforcing and rebuilding schools, buildings, walls to improve the standard of living for the locals. More importantly, Cambodia suffers long and dry seasons where drought occurs leaving local villagers with no water and no resources. To help, we plan on helping construct gravity water pipe works that are dug into the ground and are 10km long! These pipes are extremely effective because not only do they deliver water to a number of villages, they deliver clean water. Dirty water in cambodia is a main cause for child fatality and is the main cause for disease and illness. There are many other things to help aswell, like creating water jars using tradditional methods the billagers use. The jars preserve rain water for months and are very resourceful in the dry seasons. The trip is highly beneficial in many ways; to me... gaining new and enlightened perspectives on the ways people live and the different cultures but more importantly giving me tbe desire to help and improve the lives of others and the world we live in.

I plan to raise all money for the trip independantly without the help or contributions of my parents and to do so i plan to:

offer dog walking/baby sitting services, a fund-raising car wash, a sponsored bike ride, bake sales and a pub quiz.

Please attend and support me in any of the above (or in any way you can) and feel free to donate/help/contribute as it‘s for a very good cause and it is something i feel very strongly about!
