Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far, we are beyond grateful for your generous contributions. We thought we should let you know we’ve had to change our plan slightly; it is no longer possible for us to send our empty trucks filled with humanitarian goods back to Poland to then be sent onto Ukraine – due to customs regulations, they must go directly to Ukraine. As we do not want to put any truck drivers in unnecessary danger, we have taken the decision to send the funds you have all kindly donated to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal who are working tirelessly to provide aid to those in desperate need. We firmly believe this is the most effective use of the donations and safest approach for everyone involved. If you have any questions, then please feel free to contact us. We will of course share the letter we receive from the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal, showing the donation.

DONATION UPDATE

As many of you may or may not be aware, our head office is located in Nowy Sacz, Poland which is only a short distance away from the Ukrainian border. The crisis that is currently ongoing in Ukraine is very close to our hearts & our colleagues in Poland are currently providing humanitarian aid goods to refugees who have had no choice but to flee their country. Our plan here in the UK is to reinforce this effort, and send our empty FAKRO trucks back to Poland with all the urgent essentials that these refugees are in desperate need of; this includes items such as soap, toilet roll, sanitary items, nappies, clothes, dog food and first aid kits – things we all take for granted! Please donate whatever you can, big or small! Lets pull together for a these people in need!
