I never thought I would be writing this about such a special person, Sharlene Dillet (née Brown), a 34 year old beautiful women. An amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister and a best friend to so many. Anyone who has the pleasure of meeting Sharlene will agree that she simply lights up a room with her presence.

Shortly after Sharlene & Wayne’s marriage, followed the exciting news that they were expecting their third child. However, this pregnancy became increasingly difficult and Sharlene was faced with the tragic news that baby Frankie had passed in the womb. Sharlene had to endure the most horrific labour and the grief of losing her baby girl.

As you can imagine, this was a terrible and traumatic time for Sharlene, Wayne and the family, but it soon became apparent that something else was seriously wrong; Sharlene's health was sadly deteriorating also. After much anxiety, endless tests, and scans, Sharlene was faced with the worst news a person can be faced with. On 8th November 2016, she was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer.

This was utterly devastating for her husband Wayne, their parents, brothers, sisters, friends and wider family; compounded by the unimaginable task of explaining to her two gorgeous daughters, Elise (10) & Georgia (2).

Sharlene’s courage and bravery touches the hearts of many. Her endless positivity is truly humbling and an inspiration to others; especially those who are facing similar uncertainty. Where others would be completely overwhelmed with despair, Sharlene manages to find humour, even in the most challenging moments.

We have opened this fund page – to raise money towards alternative treatment and future medical requirements. We hope this will allow Sharlene to spend as much time as possible with her beautiful children and loved-ones.
