On the 30th of June I am travelling to Scotland to attempt the 24h National 3 Peak Challenge which means me climbing the highest mountain of Scotland, England and Wales, all within 24h, EKK!! On the day, I will walk about 36km, climb over 3000m and drive over 450 miles, I have adventurous nature but this is something that is going really push me out of my comfort zone. The challenge is very tough and requires a good level of physical fitness and stamina, exciting but scary so I am training hard to complete the Challenge and meet my personal target.

The reason I have decided to embark on this challenge is to raise money for my sister. A few years ago she was diagnosed with a rare neurological illness which has resulted in paralyses of her peripheral nervous system in her both hands and legs. Through out the years she spent days and weeks in hospitals, having physiotherapies, seeing specialists and going through number of treatments to improve her condition to delay the long terms consequences which is paralyse. She fought and never gave up, she finished her master degree as a speech therapist, worked helping children’s with learning difficulties and looked after her own children despite of her physical difficulties.

Unfortunately, last 4 years the illness started progressing rapidly and after number relapses she was not able to go back to her ‘normal life’. From month to month her physical condition deteriorated so she has had to become dependent on our parents, her husband and children which are only 11 and 13 years old.

She has been always lively, active and enjoyed her life as much as she could. Seeing her in that stage is heart breaking particularly when is so little that can be done….

Today, in order to help her and improve her day to day basic quality of life I decide to face the UK National 3 Peak Challenge to raise money for electric wheelchair and further rehabilitation..
