Story

Pinki

I try to support disabled street people in Kolkata, India. I have known Pinki, who like me has autism and a learning disability, for a few years. We get on really well. Her life is very difficult and she has experienced many problems

I saw her again in May 2019 and she was very unhappy. Pinki is mentally ill. She wanders off and was abused by men again. People hit her. Her family didn’t know how to help her, so they chained her to the concrete wall of the flyover. It’s a terrible life.

The Hope Foundation Hospital, with Pinki’s and her family’s agreement, have taken her into the hospital for 15 days to keep her safe and to assess her. I have told the Hope Foundation that I will pay for Pinki to stay in a Hope Care Home (https://www.thehopefoundation.org.uk/). Hope will keep her safe, give her friends, provide education, and potentially provide her with a better future.

I need to raise at least £250 for Pinki to stay with the Hope Foundation for a year. Please help her.
