Story

Anna Thornton, a 21 year old student of the University of Washington and member of their women's rowing team, was seriously injured in Seattle, Washington on the 4th November 2018.

Anna competes with the British national team and has won 5 World Championship medals for GB at junior and U23 levels. This includes back to back golds in 2017 and 2018. She also won the Stonor Challenge Trophy (women's double sculls) at the 2018 Henley Royal Regatta.

Anna has suffered a traumatic brain injury and will be returning to her home in Nottingham, England for further treatment and rehabilitation.
