Story

Hello,
Over the last few years I have been passionate about the crisis in Calais but unfortunately never pushed myself to do hands on support. I have recently found a charity called Calias light that allows me to visit Calais for short periods which fits perfect in my job/life.

Our next trip is 28th September and I am looking to raise funds for Calais light to provide food and items such as tents and sleeping bags. I will be paying for my own trip there.

To make it more interesting and challenging I have decided to do the Wales three peaks on 14th September and going to attempt to do it with out moaning. Those of you that know me are aware that I hate exercise and I love moaning so this is going to be a real challenge for me...
...but no where near as much of a challenge as it is for refugees on a daily basis. This suffering is going on around the world and is no fault of their own but down to racism and the disgusting act of ethnic cleansing, which needs to be challenged. We can take control and help them. The refugee crisis is not going away we need to act now and help these people in need to fight for their human rights. Every person has a right to be safe and I am sure if this happened to any of you, you would hope someone would rescue you and your family.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for your donations it means a lot.
