Hi! I’m Annabel, a student at Brown University studying Environmental Science.

This summer, I’m on a mission to raise £1,000 in support of the Global Youth Council (GYC) and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre—two incredible organizations working to educate and empower youth around sustainability and environmental action.

I’ve had the immense privilege of guiding a group of brilliant high schoolers through a summer internship program, and the experience has only deepened my belief that one of the most powerful tools we have to address the climate crisis is education, especially of future generations.

As the summer comes to a close, we are committed to support these efforts, ensuring that programmes like this can continue to thrive.

To help make that happen, I’m pledging to cycle 100 kilometres around Nantucket to raise funds for both local and global charities that are promoting environmental education and working to protect nature and communities from the growing threats of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.

All funds raised will go directly to the Global Youth Council on Science, Law and Sustainability and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre, who are working to empower youth, promote education about sustainability solutions and mobilise science to protect nature. Both are doing essential work to uplift youth voices, spread sustainability solutions, and mobilise science to safeguard our planet.
