Story
As many of you know, Annabel visited Sri Lanka last last year and loved the country and its people. She was very concerned about her Sri Lankan friends when she heard about the recent tragic events there. It is our belief that she would like to help those children who have lost parents, parents who have lost children and people who have been affected by the recent bombings in Columbo. Whilst we haven't yet decided which charity will benefit, in the weeks that follow, we will be carefully researching the most needy causes to be recipients of funds raised in her memory, whether this be direct help to those in need, or perhaps funding scolarships for children whose lives have been devastated by the loss of families etc.
Those who knew Annabel knew how much she loved animals, in particular dogs. She had her own dog who she adored and we feel she would like to help animals in dire need. Whilst watching a TV programme about the plight of Sri Lankan street dogs and a charity which has been set up by an English vet to help these animals, we feel it would be fitting to allocate a proportion of the funds raised to the charity We Care, which provides on the ground veterinary help to these animals.
We will endeavour to make sure that all funds raised go directly to the people and animals who need it rather than be consumed by administration and marketing costs. We hope that you will give generously in Annabel's memory to these causes. Thank you
