My cousin and his wife who live in Colombia have been fighting with the local medical service to get the urgent operation his son Luis Samuel needs in his leg and the approval for a new prothesis.

Luis Samuel was born with a cleft palate and with part of his leg missing below the knee. He is a very clever and happy boy who was going to school and was getting on with his life without feeling different however now that he has grown he needs an operation as the bone is growing with the risk of tearing the skin open and a new prostetic leg as the old one is too small for him. He cannot use it anymore so he can't walk at all, his independance has been compromised and cannot go to school anymore, now he is feeling different to other kids and wonders why he has not got a leg and can't walk, dance, play like before.

The health company is refusing to approve the medical treatment delaying all the admin procedures they have and my cousin and his wife have no money to pay for it. The sterling pound goes a long way in Colombia and with a small donation we could help him immensely, it could really change Luis Samuel life.
