Story

Some of you may know that I am leaving in January to go travelling. For the first 3 months of my trip I am volunteering with a company called Plan My Gap Year. This company have numerous projects they run all over the world such as teaching English in schools where there are limited staff and resources, running projects to look after orphan children in clubs that they have set up and running medical programmes that allow volunteers to work in busy hospitals where they are over run and extremely understaffed. When I leave on the 4th of January I will heading to Sri Lanka to take part in a childcare programme to look after orphan children, in a facility that PMGC have created. From Sri Lanka I will be going to India to work in an inner city school teaching English; they are understaffed and have little resources to teach the children with. Finally, I will be going to Bali to take part in another orphanage programme. I will be spending a month in each location staying in the communities, volunteering Monday to Friday and getting to know the people that are living in these communities. I would like to raise money to take with me to donate to the charity to give back and ensure that these programmes continue to give back to the communities where they are based. The charity raises money and allocates the money to the set programmes that they have set up all over the world. Below is a map of the countries that the Plan My Gap Year foundation has affected. I would really appreciate donations of any amount all of the donations will go straight to the trust and help towards keeping schools and projects running for the children in these communities.
