Story
This July myself and a team of other volunteers from all different backgrounds and careers are heading with Down Battilion BB back to the Bush out in Uganda where i left my heart 5 years ago. Nakasongola is a small district roughly 4 hours north of Kampala- a rural area of extreme poverty. Since i first visted in 2013 I have seen huge developments including clean running water being installed from a pump in the ground, a local orphanage expanding and being able to open a school on site and a village being built giving home to 14 families who were previously homeless. Money in Uganda goes such a long way as we can buy chickens goats pigs cow and other animals for these families which they can then bread and sell and used for eggs and milk...i plan to do a sponsored 24hour fast to raise some money to take with me this July so that It can be used to help the families most in need and with some of the maintaince work our team plans to do.
