Story

In 1963 Edge Hill Youth Club was established in an area of severe deprivation and, in subsequent years, many young people have benefited from the wide variety of services and activities we offer. Our focus over these years has been on establishing a safe, positive and structured environment which is accessible, stimulating, and of high quality. This has been achieved by giving young people opportunities to develop and enhance their personal, social and life skills through various educational activities from sports and arts to I.T. and health sessions. The Edge Hill Youth Club has now become Edge Hill Youth and Community Centre. However, without funds to pay for services and activities such as those mentioned above, we are concern about the future of community centre. We ask for your support so that we could continue to be able to provide activities which engage and challenge the children and young adults in our community. Our goal is to raise £25 000 in the next six months. This money would provide our members with several activities outside of the basic services at the youth and community centre such as rural day trips and residential visits, climbing and hiking, and award scheme activities such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
