Story
in recent weeks the state of Kerala in southern India has been devastated by the worst floods in a century. Hundreds of people have died and tens of thousands lost their homes, crops, and livestock. I saw first hand the effects while working st the AIMS hospital in Kochi when the floods struck. Now the water is subsiding the clean up can begin but the impact now includes the risk of water borne disease. The AIMS hospital continued to support patients throughout the worst of the floods but their resources are very stretched at the best of times. The neonatsl unit and outpatient department would nenrgit from support to buy newborn nappies, sanitary towels for the morhers and medicine for the babies.
all the funds raised willfo to the neonatal unit and if we exceed the target it will go towards a much needed x ray machine for thr NICU.
