Story
PLEASE
We are appealing for help for my Beautiful 23 year old daughter Shelley diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer.
She has had major surgery and requires private treatments and medications that are currently unavailable on the NHS.
This will hopefully give Troy, her six year old little boy his Mummy back.
After three months of investigations, we then received the news that no parent ever wants to hear.
Shelley has Ampullary cancer.
After surgery , Shelley pulled through sepsis, infections and multiple organ failure.
The Histology report concluded that her cancer has spread and that it is also very aggressive.
She has a rare cancer that requires private help beyond what is offered within the NHS.
We feel her only hope now rests with private treatments in addition to those on the NHS.
Chemotherapy could leave Shelley infertile. As Shelley is incredibly maternal, this thought is just too hard for her to bear. Consequently we have already started the private process of Egg Harvesting because it has to be completed before chemotherapy commences.
Freezing and storage of her harvested eggs to enable her to have another child in the future is Shelleys biggest wish at this moment.
Shelley is likely to lose her hair as a result of chemotherapy treatments. Last year She donated over two foot of her own hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Shelley would really like to have her own hair removed and made in to a wig.
Shelleys Oncologist is currently enquiring about a drugs trial. This drug is based on immunotherapy. This trial may well be too late so we may need to access this drug Privately in America. This drug is showing great potential.
I have been put in touch with a highly skilled Cancer specialist in London. She has a proven track record with high success in this area where orthodox treatments have statistically dismal outcomes. We are arranging private sessions with this Lady.
Thank you for any donation you can manage.

8 years agoHello Everybody, As I family we cannot begin to express how grateful we are for the support we are receiving. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and community spirit that is being so clearly displayed here for Shelley. Shelley is beginning to feel more hopeful now as her belief was one that we would be unable to achieve the treatments and help that she so desperately requires. We all know how powerful our belief system is too. So thank you, THANK YOU for helping to restore her belief that, 'Yes, together we can do this!' Love to all.

It is heartbreaking to see my Beautiful 23 year old daughter struggling with this horrible disease. Before Cancer struck she was full of life, vitality and enjoyed spending time playing with and caring for her little 6 year old Son. Troy needs his Mummy more than anything else.
